Rock Land

Rock Land Records was founded in 1975 by music producer and entrepreneur John McAllister in Los Angeles, California. Initially focused on rock music, the label quickly expanded its roster to include various genres such as punk, metal, and alternative rock. The late 1970s and early 1980s marked a notable era for Rock Land, as it signed influential artists like The Vortex, a pioneering punk band, and Silver Storm, a prominent heavy metal group. Throughout the 1990s, the label diversified further, embracing grunge and indie rock, with bands like The Echoes gaining critical acclaim. Despite facing challenges in the 2000s due to industry changes, Rock Land maintained a loyal following and continued to support emerging artists. Today, the label is recognized for its contributions to the evolution of rock music and its role in promoting diverse sounds, leaving a lasting legacy in the music industry.
