Radiant

Radiant Records was founded in 1975 by music producer and entrepreneur James Harlow in Los Angeles, California. Initially focused on rock and pop music, the label gained prominence in the late 1970s with the emergence of punk and new wave artists. Notable acts included the influential punk band The Electric Rats and the synth-pop group Neon Dreams, both of whom helped define the label's sound during this era. In the 1980s, Radiant expanded its roster to include a diverse range of genres, such as hip-hop and alternative rock, signing artists like the groundbreaking rap group Urban Beat and the indie rock band The Echoes. The 1990s saw a shift towards electronic music, with the label fostering talents like DJ Vortex and the ambient group Soundscapes. Radiant Records has left a lasting legacy in the music industry, known for its innovative approach to artist development and genre-blending, influencing countless musicians and labels in the decades that followed.
