LHI

LHI, or "Love Records," was founded in 1967 by musician and producer Lee Hazlewood in Los Angeles. Initially established as a vehicle for Hazlewood's own projects, the label quickly became known for its eclectic roster, blending genres such as country, rock, and pop. Notable artists included Hazlewood himself, Nancy Sinatra, and the avant-garde group The International Submarine Band, which featured Gram Parsons. LHI's most significant era spanned the late 1960s to early 1970s, during which it released a series of influential albums that combined innovative production techniques with a distinctive sound. Despite its relatively short lifespan, LHI's legacy endures through its contributions to the development of country rock and its influence on subsequent artists. The label's catalog has been revisited and celebrated in recent years, highlighting its role in shaping the musical landscape of the era.
