Hitt

Hitt Records was founded in 1990 by music producer and entrepreneur, Michael O'Connor, in Los Angeles, California. Initially focused on pop and dance music, the label gained prominence in the 1990s with the rise of Eurodance and teen pop. Notable artists included the girl group Dream, known for their hit "He Loves U Not," and DJ and producer Paul Oakenfold, who contributed to the electronic music scene. Throughout the 2000s, Hitt expanded its roster to include genres such as hip-hop and R&B, signing artists like rapper Lil' Mo and singer-songwriter JoJo. The label also embraced digital distribution, adapting to the changing music landscape. By the 2010s, Hitt Records had established a reputation for discovering and nurturing emerging talent. Its legacy lies in its influence on pop culture during the late 90s and early 2000s, as well as its role in shaping the careers of several successful artists across various genres.
