Rink Babka, born Richard Aldrich Babka on September 23, 1936, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, was a prominent American discus thrower who achieved notable success in the early 1960s. He won a silver medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome and was a former world record holder, maintaining his title from 1960 to 1961. After retiring from competition in 1969 due to injuries, he pursued a career in business and was also recognized for his artistic endeavors, having exhibited work with the Art of the Olympians. Babka passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 85.
