Discus Various ArtistsRink Babka, born Richard Aldrich Babka on September 23, 1936, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, was a prominent American discus thrower who achieved notable success in the early 1960s. He won a silver medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome and was a former world record holder, maintaining his title from 1960 to 1961. After retiring from competition in 1969 due to injuries, he pursued a career in business and was also recognized for his artistic endeavors, having exhibited work with the Art of the Olympians.
