Nash the Slash

Nash the Slash, born James Jeffrey Plewman in Toronto in 1948, was a Canadian musician active from 1975 until 2014, recognized for his unique blend of progressive rock, electronic, and instrumental music utilizing instruments like the electric violin and mandolin. He gained notoriety for his distinctive performance style, wearing surgical bandages and a tuxedo, and was a founding member of the progressive rock band FM, before pursuing a successful solo career that included composing soundtracks for silent films and collaborating with various artists. Nash's eclectic music and iconic persona made him a notable figure in the Canadian music scene until his passing in 2014.
