Tommy ArmourTommy Armour (1896–1968) was a Scottish-American professional golfer noted for winning three major championships: the 1927 U.S. Open, the 1930 PGA Championship, and the 1931 Open Championship. Known as "The Silver Scot," he played a significant role in golf during the early 20th century and popularized the term "yips," referring to a sudden loss of skill in athletes.
