Minds Simple

Simple Minds is a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 1977, originally as Johnny & The Self-Abusers, with key members Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill joining shortly after. They gained international recognition in the 1980s with their breakthrough album "New Gold Dream (81/82/83/84)" and notable hits like "Don't You (Forget About Me)" and "Alive and Kicking." Over the years, the band's music has incorporated elements of post-punk, art rock, and synth-pop. While experiencing fluctuating commercial success, they are recognized as one of Scotland's most prominent musical acts, having received various awards for their contributions to music. Simple Minds remains active, with their most recent album released in 2022.
