Belinda Carlisle

Belinda Carlisle, born on August 17, 1958, in Los Angeles, is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the influential all-female band the Go-Go's, which gained prominence in the early 1980s with their groundbreaking album "Beauty and the Beat." Following the band's breakup in 1985, Carlisle launched a successful solo career with hits like "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" and "Mad About You." She has received numerous accolades, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and continues to perform and record music.
