Joe KnightJoe Knight, born Joseph Washington Knight on January 15, 1909, in Cairo, Georgia, was an American boxer who gained prominence in the light heavyweight division during the 1930s. He was awarded the World Light Heavyweight title by the National Boxing Association in 1933 and had a professional record of 124 wins, 19 losses, and 18 draws over 164 fights. Renowned for his powerful left-handed punches, Knight became a notable figure in boxing but faced career decline after suffering several losses against top contenders.
