Foreman Young

Jimmy Young (1948-2005) was an American heavyweight boxer who gained prominence in the 1970s for his unique defensive style and ability to counterpunch. He was a notable contender, facing champions such as Muhammad Ali, losing a controversial unanimous decision in 1976, and defeating George Foreman in 1977, a fight recognized as "Fight of the Year." Young faced a series of prominent fighters, including Ken Norton, against whom he suffered a split decision loss in 1977. His career, marked by 35 wins (11 by knockout) and 18 losses, went into decline in later years, and he struggled with health issues before passing away from a heart attack at the age of 56.
