Crystal Gayle

Crystal Gayle, born Brenda Gail Webb on January 9, 1951, is an influential American country music singer, best known for her 1977 hit "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue," which became a major international success and signature song. Initially, Gayle struggled to define her musical identity while managing under the same label as her sister, Loretta Lynn, but found success after signing with United Artists Records and adopting a country pop style. Throughout the late 1970s and 1980s, she achieved numerous hits and accolades, including a Grammy Award, and is recognized as one of the most successful crossover artists in country music history.
