Initially gaining fame in the 1980s and 1990s, she won multiple awards including multiple GMA Dove Awards and was recognized as one of the highest-paid singers in Christian music. Patty faced personal and professional challenges, including a well-publicized divorce, but successfully rebuilt her career, performing with symphony orchestras and releasing numerous albums.
