Esposito Phil And The Ranger Rockers"Hockey Sock Rock" is a 1979 single written and produced by Alan Thicke, featuring Phil Esposito and members of the New York Rangers. Created as a promotional tool for the Rangers during the disco era in New York City, the song's proceeds benefited the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The single reportedly sold over 100,000 copies, although a significant portion of that was attributed to the involvement of musician Gordon Lightfoot, a friend of Thicke's. The B-side featured a song with members from the Los Angeles Kings. (Source: Wikipedia)
