Wainwright Loudon III

Loudon Wainwright III, born on September 5, 1946, is an accomplished American singer-songwriter and occasional actor known for his contributions to folk rock, blues, and comedy music. Active since the late 1960s, he has released 26 studio albums and is notable for popular songs such as "Dead Skunk" and "The Swimming Song." Wainwright has also appeared in films and television, most famously as Captain Calvin Spalding on M*A*S*H. He is part of a musical family, with his children Rufus, Martha, and Lucy Wainwright Roche also pursuing music careers. Wainwright won a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album in 2010 for "High Wide & Handsome."
