Louis Joe Hill

Joe Hill Louis, born Lester Hill on September 23, 1921, was an influential American singer, guitarist, harmonica player, and one-man band known for his contributions to the blues genre in the 1950s. He was notable for his pioneering use of electric guitar, achieving regional acclaim with recordings like "Gotta Let You Go" and "Boogie in the Park," which showcased his unique style that predated heavy metal. As a session musician for Sun Records and host of a radio program on WDIA, he made significant impacts in recording and performance before his untimely death from tetanus on August 5, 1957.
