Johnny. GreenJohnny Green (1908–1989) was an influential American songwriter, composer, musical arranger, conductor, and pianist. He gained prominence in the 1930s, noted for writing jazz standards such as "Body and Soul" and "Out of Nowhere." Green won four Academy Awards for his work in film music and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972. He served as music director at MGM from 1949 to 1959 and contributed to numerous acclaimed musicals, including "An American in Paris" and "West Side Story."
