Cap-de-la-Madeleine is a former city located at the confluence of the Saint-Maurice and St. Lawrence Rivers in Quebec, Canada, founded in 1651 and merged into Trois-Rivières in 2002. Known for the Basilica of Notre-Dame du Cap, a significant pilgrimage site in North America due to miraculous events attributed to the Virgin Mary, the city had a population of 33,022 as of the 2006 census and is recognized for its historical and cultural contributions, including a World War II training school established by the Royal Canadian Air Force.
