Ruthann FriedmanRuthann Friedman, born on July 6, 1944, in Bronx, New York, is an American folk singer-songwriter and guitarist, notable for writing the hit song "Windy" for The Association in 1967. She became involved in the California music scene during the 1960s and experienced a resurgence in her career following the 2006 reissue of her debut album, "Constant Companion," after spending over thirty years away from music to raise her family and run a business.
