Phil Crosby

David Van Cortlandt Crosby (1941–2023) was an influential American singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for his pivotal roles in the bands the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN). He helped shape the folk rock and psychedelic music scenes in the mid-1960s and contributed significantly to the California sound of the 1970s, garnering two Grammy Awards and two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions for his work. Crosby was also recognized for his outspoken nature and personal struggles, becoming a notable figure of the 1960s counterculture. His career extended over five decades, during which he released solo albums and collaborated with many artists.
