Eubie BlakeEubie Blake (1887-1983) was an influential American jazz pianist and composer, recognized for his work in ragtime and popular music. He gained prominence with the 1921 Broadway musical "Shuffle Along," co-written with Noble Sissle, which was significant for being one of the first musicals by and about African Americans. Blake's notable compositions include "I'm Just Wild About Harry" and "Love Will Find a Way." Throughout his career, he collaborated with various artists and performed extensively, earning accolades such as the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1981.
