Del McCoury

Del McCoury, born on February 1, 1939, is a renowned American bluegrass musician and the leader of the Del McCoury Band, featuring his sons Ronnie and Rob McCoury. He became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2003 and has received numerous accolades, including the National Heritage Fellowship in 2010 and induction into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in 2011. With a career spanning over six decades, McCoury has significantly influenced bluegrass music and has won multiple awards, including two Grammy Awards for Best Bluegrass Album.
