The Doodletown Pipers

The Doodletown Pipers, also known as The New Doodletown Pipers, were an easy listening vocal group active in the 1960s and 1970s, founded by Ward Ellis, George Wilkins, Bernie Brillstein, and Jerry Weintraub. Known for their numerous television appearances and collaborations with notable artists, the group is often characterized as emblematic of bland, mainstream pop music. Their recordings experienced moderate success, but their later work failed to capture the same audience, leading to a decline in popularity by the late 1970s. The group made their last televised appearance in 1987.
