Bette Graham

Bette Nesmith Graham (1924–1980) was an American typist and inventor known for creating Liquid Paper, a correction fluid that revolutionized typing and document editing. While working as a secretary in North Dallas, she developed the product in the 1950s and founded the Liquid Paper Corporation, which grew to achieve significant success. Graham was also a single mother, raising her son Michael Nesmith, who later became known as a musician with The Monkees. She sold Liquid Paper to Gillette in 1979 for over $47 million and engaged in philanthropy supporting women in the arts and business before her death.
