George GirardGeorge Girard (1930–1957) was a New Orleans jazz trumpeter renowned for his blending of traditional Dixieland jazz with big-band trumpet techniques. He co-founded the Basin Street Six, gaining regional acclaim, and later formed George Girard & the New Orleans Five, achieving further recognition with regular performances and broadcasts.
