MacPherson Wyatt EarpThe Sentinel Range is a prominent mountain range in Antarctica, part of the Ellsworth Mountains, and extends approximately 185 km in length and 24 to 48 km in width. It features many peaks exceeding 4,000 meters, with Vinson Massif being the highest point at 4,892 meters, making it the tallest mountain on the continent. The range was first observed from the air in 1935 and was subsequently surveyed in 1958. Its notable geological features and significant elevations contribute to its recognition as a key landmark in Antarctica. (Source: Wikipedia)
