Connor Edric And The Caribbeans

Edric Esclus Connor (1913–1968) was a prominent Trinidadian singer, folklorist, and actor who migrated to the United Kingdom in 1944. Known for his contributions to calypso music and his role in promoting Caribbean culture, he was influential in the establishment of several black theater initiatives, including the Negro Theatre Company and the Edric Connor Agency. Connor was notable for being the first black actor to perform with the Royal Shakespeare Company and appeared in films such as "Moby Dick" and "Fire Down Below." He passed away in London at the age of 55, leaving a lasting legacy in the arts.
