The Emperors

The Emperors, also known as The Emperor's, were an American soul band from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, formed in the early 1960s. They gained recognition in 1966 with their hit single "Karate," which achieved regional success and reached the national R&B charts and Billboard Hot 100, followed by several other singles before the group disbanded. After briefly renaming themselves Emperors Soul 69, they recorded one last single before disbanding, with their music later reissued in 2002.
