Vaughn Meader

Vaughn Meader (1936–2004) was an American comedian, musician, and impressionist best known for his portrayal of President John F. Kennedy in the early 1960s. He gained immense popularity with the comedic album "The First Family," which became the fastest-selling album prior to the Beatles and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1963. However, his career ended abruptly after Kennedy's assassination in 1963, leading to a significant decline in public interest and subsequent struggles with typecasting and addiction. Despite attempts to reinvent his career, Meader primarily performed as a local musician in Maine until his death from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
