Leon & The BurnersThe New South Wales D59 class locomotives are a series of steam engines built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corporation for the New South Wales Government Railways, produced between August 1952 and March 1953. A total of 20 locomotives were created, featuring a 2-8-2 wheel arrangement and designed initially for oil fuel, which were later converted to coal-burning. They primarily operated on various lines within New South Wales, although their use was limited by the availability of fueling facilities. Five of the class are preserved today, with the locomotives notable for being the first new oil-fired engines introduced by the state railways since 1905. (Source: Wikipedia)
