Leyden Norman And His Orchestra

Norman Fowler Leyden (1917-2014) was an American conductor, composer, and clarinetist, notably associated with the Oregon Symphony Pops orchestra, where he served for 34 seasons. He began his career in the U.S. Army during World War II, collaborating with Glenn Miller and contributing to notable productions including the radio series "I Sustain the Wings." Leyden's extensive career included roles as a musical director for various radio and television programs, and he was recognized for arranging music for renowned artists. He was honored with several accolades throughout his life, including induction into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame.
