Peter Nero

Peter Nero (1934–2023) was an American pianist and pops conductor renowned for leading the Philly Pops from 1979 to 2013. He earned two Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 1962, and released over 60 albums throughout his career, while being lauded for his interpretations of George Gershwin. Nero's extensive career included numerous television appearances and collaborations with notable musicians, contributing significantly to both classical and popular music genres before his death at age 89.
