The Mormon Tabernacle ChoirThe Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, formerly known as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, is an American choir based in Salt Lake City, affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Founded in 1847, it has a longstanding history of performances, including weekly broadcasts of "Music & the Spoken Word" since 1929, making it one of the longest-running programs of its kind. The choir is renowned for its size, repertoire, and notable performances, including at presidential inaugurations and international tours, and has received several prestigious awards throughout its history.
