Collins Dave And Ansil

Dave and Ansell Collins are a Jamaican vocal and instrumental duo known for their contributions to reggae music, formed in the early 1970s. They gained notable fame with their hit single "Double Barrel," which topped the Jamaican and UK charts in 1971, and followed it up with another popular track, "Monkey Spanner." The duo worked primarily with producer Lee "Scratch" Perry and their music featured songwriting largely by Winston Riley. After their initial success, they pursued separate careers but reunited for live performances in 2012. Their work has influenced numerous artists and remains significant in reggae history.
