Zacharias Helmut And His Orchestra

Thomas Zacharias, born on January 2, 1947, in Bad Harzburg, Germany, is a notable high jumper who competed in the 1968 Olympics, finishing 14th with a jump of 2.09 meters. He set five national records and achieved a personal best of 2.22 meters, marking the world's best indoor jump in 1971. During his athletic career, he has transitioned to masters competitions, setting numerous world records, particularly in the M50 age group. Besides his athletic achievements, Zacharias has also worked as a coach, wrote several books on sports, and studied in various countries while promoting high jump techniques.
