Gozzo Conrad And His Orchestra

Conrad Gozzo (1922–1964) was an American trumpet player known for his exceptional technical ability and influential career in the music industry. Born in New Britain, Connecticut, he played with prominent bands such as those led by Tommy Reynolds, Claude Thornhill, and Benny Goodman before joining the NBC Hollywood staff orchestra. Gozzo was prominent in the 1940s and 1950s, contributing to major motion picture soundtracks and live television shows while recording extensively with renowned musicians like Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. He passed away in 1964 due to liver disease, leaving a legacy celebrated by contemporaries and jazz enthusiasts.
