Michael Redway

Alan Redway (1935–2024) was a Canadian lawyer and politician who served as the Progressive Conservative Member of Parliament for York East from 1984 to 1988 and for Don Valley East from 1988 to 1993. He was also the mayor of East York from 1977 to 1982 and held the position of Minister of State for Housing under Prime Minister Brian Mulroney from 1989 to 1991 before his resignation. After his political career, he engaged in anti-poverty initiatives and practiced civil law until his retirement in 2010. Redway passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 88.
