Bob Wilber (1928-2019) was an American jazz clarinetist, saxophonist, and bandleader known for his advocacy of traditional jazz styles presented in contemporary formats. He was active in the jazz scene from the 1940s through the 2010s, collaborating with notable musicians such as Benny Goodman and Sidney Bechet, and co-founding groups like the World's Greatest Jazz Band and Soprano Summit. Wilber also contributed to jazz education and film music, publishing an autobiography detailing his musical journey. He passed away at the age of 91 in England, leaving a legacy as an influential figure in jazz preservation and performance.
