Bass Sid And His OrchestraSid Bass (1913–1993) was an American songwriter, arranger, and conductor prominent in the 1960s. Born in New York City, he served in the Army Air Corps before becoming musical director at Jubilee Records and later Carlton Records. Bass arranged for notable acts including The Orioles and The Four Seasons and is recognized for his work on Gale Garnett’s popular album and single “We'll Sing in the Sunshine.” His orchestration contributions to various popular songs, including “The Ballad of the Green Berets,” marked his significant impact on music during his era.
