Silver Eric And His Orchestra

Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, often referred to as Silver Mt. Zion, was a Canadian post-rock band formed in 1999 in Montreal by Efrim Menuck, Sophie Trudeau, and Thierry Amar, all of whom were affiliated with Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Over their active years until 2014, they evolved from a mostly instrumental trio to an eight-piece ensemble, ultimately focusing more on vocals. The band released seven studio albums and gained recognition for their politically charged lyrics and unique sound combining punk, rock, and orchestral elements. Their influence in the post-rock genre and the Canadian music scene makes them notable figures in contemporary music.
