Sondra Williams

Sondra "Blinky" Williams, born on May 21, 1944, in Oakland, California, is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter best known for her role as the female lead singer of the theme song for the 1970s TV series "Good Times." Active since the early 1950s, she recorded for major labels including Atlantic and Motown, producing notable works like the single "I Wouldn't Change the Man He Is" and a duet album with Edwin Starr. Despite facing challenges in achieving commercial success during her career, she continued to work in gospel music and made appearances on various soundtracks, with some of her unreleased work compiled in 2019. In 2024, she made a cameo in the film "Reagan."
