Sims Frankie Lee

Frankie Lee Sims (1917–1970) was an American blues singer-songwriter and electric guitarist, notable for his contributions to postwar Texas country blues. Born in New Orleans and later based in Dallas, he gained regional fame with his 1953 hit "Lucy Mae Blues" and released a total of nine singles throughout his career, along with two posthumous compilation albums. Sims was influential in the blues scene, associated with artists such as Lightnin' Hopkins and T-Bone Walker, and is recognized for his distinctive guitar style that shaped the rhythm of Texas blues music.
