The Blues Project is an American rock band formed in 1965 in New York City's Greenwich Village, blending various musical styles such as blues, folk, jazz, and psychedelia. The original lineup disbanded in 1967 following moderate success, including albums like "Live at the Café Au Go Go" and "Projections," while notable members Al Kooper and Steve Katz later joined Blood, Sweat & Tears. After several sporadic reunions, the band released a new collection of songs titled "Evolution" in 2023, continuing to perform under the leadership of Katz and Roy Blumenfeld.
