King GanamThe Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame recognizes and honors Canadian country music artists, builders, and broadcasters, both living and deceased. Located on level five of Studio Bell in Calgary, Alberta, it features a collection of artifacts and biographical information on inductees, having transitioned to the National Music Centre in 2009. The Hall of Fame was previously housed in a log building on the Calgary Stampede grounds. Notable occurrences include Canadian singer-songwriter Stompin' Tom Connors' refusal of induction in 1993 due to his opposition to American influences in Canadian music. (Source: Wikipedia)
