Rip Sanders

Harland David Sanders (1890-1980) was an American businessman best known as the founder of the fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). Starting his culinary career during the Great Depression, Sanders developed a unique pressure frying technique and secret recipe for fried chicken, which became the cornerstone of his business model. After franchising KFC in 1952 and experiencing rapid expansion, he sold the company in 1964 but remained a prominent brand ambassador. Despite his success, he was critical of later changes to the food, particularly its gravy. Sanders' legacy endures as an iconic figure in the fast food industry.
