Sandra DeeSandra Dee, born Alexandra Zuck on April 23, 1942, was an American actress and model known for starring in a series of films during the late 1950s, including "Imitation of Life," "Gidget," and "A Summer Place." She won a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer for her role in "Until They Sail" in 1957 and became a prominent teen idol. However, her career declined in the late 1960s following a tumultuous personal life, including a marriage to singer Bobby Darin that ended in divorce.
