Summers Gene And His Rebels

Gene Summers (1939–2021) was an American rockabilly singer, songwriter, and guitarist notable for his influential contributions to the rock and roll genre, particularly during the late 1950s. Best known for hits like "Big Blue Diamonds" and "School of Rock 'n Roll," he was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 1997 and the Southern Legends Entertainment & Performing Arts Hall of Fame in 2005. Throughout his career, which spanned over five decades, Summers continued to perform internationally, celebrating his 50th anniversary as a recording artist in 2008 before passing away in 2021.
