Jerry ChesnutJerry Chesnut (May 7, 1931 – December 15, 2018) was a notable American country music songwriter best known for his hits including "Good Year for the Roses," "It's Four in the Morning," and "T-R-O-U-B-L-E." Born in Harlan County, Kentucky, he moved to Nashville in 1958 to pursue songwriting and achieved early success in the late 1960s. He received significant recognition throughout his career, such as being named Billboard's 'Songwriter of the Year' in 1972 and induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992.
