William WarfieldEdwin Warfield III (1924-1999) was a notable Maryland State Delegate and Adjutant General who served from 1963 to 1980. Born in Baltimore and educated at Cornell University and the University of Maryland, he was involved in local politics, particularly in the development of Columbia, Maryland, and chaired the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee. Warfield also had a military background, serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and later led the Maryland National Guard. He was influential in higher education reform in Maryland and held significant roles in various community organizations before passing away from congestive heart failure. (Source: Wikipedia)
