The BlendellsThe Blendells were a Mexican American brown-eyed soul group from East Los Angeles, active in the 1960s, best known for their 1964 cover of "La La La La La" by Little Stevie Wonder. They performed at various venues and alongside notable artists like Roy Orbison and Chuck Berry, but their career was cut short by the Vietnam War, which affected many members. Although not widely recognized today, The Blendells maintain a cult following within West Coast Mexican American communities and have been highlighted in the documentary "The West Coast East Side Sound."
